Sidle
Hey, I'm Jess.

I started Sidle because I remember what it felt like to leave for college full of excitement, only to find myself feeling more overwhelmed and alone than anyone ever told me I would be. Fast forward to today, and I am struck by how many new college students are still experiencing this rocky start to their college experience.

How come it has not gotten better after all of these years?

I have met with many students to try and learn more about what they were feeling in those first months at school, and to understand what might have helped them during that time. Everyone had a story, and everyone wanted to share theirs. That’s when it clicked - sometimes the thing we need most is someone to talk to - not a hotline or a counselor, just someone who really “gets it”.

Sidle is a safe place for you to share your story about what it’s really like to leave for college and be on your own. Maybe sharing your story will help you. Maybe your story will help others. And maybe it will help to change the way we prepare and support future students during this important time in their lives.

Enough with the people who don’t get it - this is your space to be real about what it’s like. This is your platform to amplify the voices of everyone out there who has struggled or is struggling in many different ways.

We need the power of everyone’s college story. We need your story. We need you.

Always free. Always confidential.

Sidle will never cost you anything, and what you share is always anonymous. We’re not here to sell you something - we’re here so you have somewhere to land.

Sidle - the college experience, unfiltered.
